Love After Loss: The Heart of my Stories

Loss has many faces. For me, it came in the form of sudden widowhood. For others, it’s divorce, heartbreak, or simply the kind of change that turns life upside down. These are the stories that shape my clean historical romance series—tales of love after loss, healing, and the kind of second chances that don’t feel second best.

Whatever the cause, loss changes you.

But it doesn’t have to end you.

I write love stories for people who have experienced loss and for anyone who has ever wondered if their best days are behind them, or if it’s too late for joy to bloom again. My stories are for those who’ve held grief in one hand and still reached for hope with the other.

Because life doesn’t stop when your heart breaks. It reshapes.

And if you keep putting one foot in front of the other, the seasons do change. The fog lifts. Flowers bloom again. And moments of joy begin to slip in—unexpected, unscripted, and sweeter for their rarity.

That’s the world I write about. A world where loss is real, but so is laughter. Where resilience is quiet and strong, and where love doesn’t come as a replacement, but as a renewal. Not second best. Not what’s left over. But something wholly new, and worth loving again.

You don’t forget the ones you’ve lost. You carry them with you. They shape you. And in many ways, they make you more able to recognize what matters now.

So if you’re someone who’s ever thought, “I’ve missed my chance,” let me just say—
You haven’t.
Not even close.
